One of the fastest up and coming artists, Charmaine Pwerle works the canvas using a frenzy of brush strokes to create a loose and flowing depiction of the stories handed to her by her mother and grandmother. Charmaine begun her artistic practice working alongside her grandmother, Minnie Pwerle on some of her larger canvases. This introduction, as well as the encouragement from her mother, Barbara Weir, combined to inspire this talented lady to create her own style of telling these dreaming’s. When we first worked with Charmaine, her style was much more in keeping with Minnie. Over the first few years working with us, she begun to really loosen up and get a little wild with her artistic practice.
