Dulcie Kelly Nangala
Dulcie Kelly Nangala is an established artist from Mt Liebig, located to the west of Alice Springs in the rugged and spectacular West MacDonnell Ranges. Her works depict the landscape of this region using a network of delicate lines of dots, which represent the Tali (Sand Hills) of the area.
Her style has been passed on to her by her mother, Lily Kelly Napangardi, who is known for telling the stories of this country using a similar style of dot work. Dulcie’s daughter, Georgina Kelly Napaltjarri has also developed her work using these lines of dots.
These three artists have attracted much attention from collectors of fine art due to the minimalistic and abstract depictions of the land. Yubu Napa is proud to say that these ladies were among the very first artists to paint in our studio and we are excited to see their work develop over time.
