Fabrianne developed this artwork from an image of a pencil drawing she made while working at the courthouse as an interpreter. Using gutta bottles, she has drawn this stunning fine art piece in a creamy antique white. We are looking forward to seeing Fabrianne develop this story further using a palette of red, orange, yellow, red oxide and white.

Three women are shown down the centre of this artwork. Also depicted are the women’s ceremonial artefacts (coolamon, digging stick, hair string belt and ceremonial dancing stick). The women have gathered to perform a ceremony at a women’s site to the west of Papunya, the same as the ancestral spirits performed back in the Dreamtime.
