Mina Mina is Elsie’s traditional lands and is located to the west of Yuendumu in the Tanami Desert Region in Central Australia.
The Mina Mina ancestral spirits travelled across the land performing ceremony to create the landscape that can be seen today. There were particular ceremonies performed to create different aspects of the land, and the Warlpiri women perform these ceremonies to this day, passing on the stories as song lines associated with Mina Mina to the younger generations of women.
