Lausberg’s artwork resonates with the forms and colours of the central desert. His art practice, which spans nearly four decades, has developed into a deliberate form of therapeutic self-exploration, incorporating the organic forms of the natural world, mythology, philosophy, and personal experience. Lausberg paints intuitively, rarely beginning with a specific idea or formulated subject. Thus he navigates to a finished piece through intuition, rather than intellect.
