Mary has been painting with Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation in Yuendumu since 2005. She creates artworks that relate to her land, its features, plants and creatures – stories passed down to her through the generations for millennia. The works on display at Yubu Napa Art Gallery were created using a very traditional palette, with the occasional pop of contemporary colour. Her works depict the women’s business and teachings of the Warlpiri women of this area.
